Seventh consecutive victory in the AdmiralBet ABA league: Black and whites defeated FMP

Partizan NIS defeated the team from Zeleznik in the "Aleksandar Nikolc" hall with 74:69 (20:13, 19:17, 23:18, 12:21) and kept the first position in the regional championship.

 

In the 7th round of the AdmiralBet ABA league, Partizan NIS defeated FMP in the "Aleksandar Nikolic" hall and thus achieved the seventh consecutive victory in the regional championship. The black and whites opened the match better and quickly gained a double-digit advantage. However, the persistent visiting team managed to come back and reduce the gap to seven points, after the first 10 minutes of the game. In the second half, Partizan again had a double-digit advantage for most of the quarter, but FMP reduced the advantage to 39:30 with the sound of a siren.

 

 

It was similar in the third quarter, when the black and whites again had a convincing advantage. However, the persistent guests did not give up, so in the last few minutes they managed to return almost completely to the match. However, the players of Partizan NIS had a ready answer, after which they brought the game to an end and achieved a well-deserved victory.

 

 

At the press conference, held after tonight's victory against FMP, the coach of Partizan NIS, Zeljko Obradovic, said:

 

"I think we opened the game well tonight, unlike a couple of days ago, and that we were extremely aggressive. It looked much better in attack, until five minutes before the end of the game. Players should understand that even with a positive result, when the opposing team plays across the field that this is a situation where you have to play maximally aggressive and play for the points. We didn't do that, we stopped and then we got into trouble to shoot the ball, usually at the end of the attack and because of that "It  was a very bad percentage of shots for three points. Anyway, congratulations to my players on another important victory. We have another interesting week ahead of us where we will travel to Andorra and after that the game with Zvezda in Pionir," said Obradović
