The black and whites defeated Budućnost

In the 19th round of the ABA League, Partizan NIS defeated the current champion, with the score 76:67 (17:12, 15:19, 23:15, 21:21).

In the derby of the 19th round, Partizan NIS' players defeated the current champion, the team of Budućnost VOLI! From the very beginning, the black and whites showed they entered the game with a lot of desire and with more energy than the rival, that scored only 12 points in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, as well, Partizan was better, but towards the end of the quarter, Budućnost managed to lower the black and whites' advantage to only one point.

After the 15-minute break, the black and whites started playing aggressive defense again, while offense brought 23 points in this quarter, for a +9 after 30 minutes of the game. 

In the last quarter, the current champion tried to catch up with the black and whites, or at least to reduce their advantage to less than five points, but Partizan NIS' players were more focused in the finish than the rival and documented an important win.

At the press conference after the game, Partizan NIS' coach, Andrea Trinchieri, said:

"I congratulate my players on a good fight without two important players. We played tough, we fought, we beat a EuroLeague team. It was a tense, hard game. We played like a team, and in the end, we won a big home game. We missed that a little", Trinchieri pointed out.
