The black and whites convincing against Cibona

In the 18th round of the regional championship, Partizan NIS defeated Cibona in Dražen Petrović Hall, with the score 59:83 (16:20, 16:21, 14:22, 13:20).

 

The black and whites convincingly defeated Cibona in the regional classic! At the beginning of the 18th round ABA League game, Partizan NIS' players gained an advantage that they slowly increased. The home team managed to keep close until the 18th minute, when the black and whites made a mini-run and went to the halftime break with +9.

In the third and fourth quarters, Partizan kept and increased their advantage that was +27 at one point. Coach Trinchieri rotated all 12 players during the game, and they all scored points. In the end, the black and whites celebrated with the score 59:83.

At the press conference after the game, Partizan NIS' coach, Andrea Trinchieri, said:

"The most important thing for my team after the EuroCup and that ending is that we get back on the court and forget about it. To start digging again. We had an OK start of the game, and then from the 5th to the 15th minute, our defense was bad. Actually, I think that our defense was bad the entire first half. We found our balance in the second half, we relied on our centers who were efficient, but this was truly a team victory", said Trinchieri.
