Panatha and Loto victorious, Unicaja defeated
Euroleague competition continues with the Top 16, Day 1 matches, and Partizan's group G rivals, Panathinaikos and Lotomatica won their league matches whereas Unicaja were not that lucky. Partizan's Euroleague rivals on Thursday, Panathinaikos played two matches in four days. They ran over VAP Kolosos in league match 91:53, where Nikola Peković, former Partizan player, was the team leader with 15 points. Dimitris Diamantidis scored 13 and Dusan Kecman scored 3 points. Panathinaikos are currently runners-up in Greece with the 13-2 score. Panathinaikos also played a Greek Cup match and defeated Marusi in an over-time narrow finish 76:72. Vasilis Spanulis was the match winner from free-throw line for next Partizan rivals scoring 18 points. Nikola Pekovic scored 5 points and Dusan Kecman remained scoreless. Unicaja was defeated by Tauceramica 100:90 where Marcus Haislip was the score leader in his team with 20 points, Thomas Kelati was also good with 18 points. Unicaja has a 13-6 score and they hold the 5th position in ACB league.Lotomatica won away game against Eldo Cassertu 74:79. Ibrahim Jaber with 27 points and Andre Huttson, 15 points and 12 rebounds, had their show in that match. Rome team are runners-up to Montepaschi with the 11-5 score.
