Evroleague: Partizan – Panionios (Wednesday 20.45)
BC Partizan players play a potential Top 16 decider on Wednesday 20.45 cet in Pionir against Panionios on Euroleague Day 9 of group G. Our team needs a win and it would be ideal if the scoring difference is bigger than 5 points as Panionios won 72:67 in the first match. In that case Partizan would see Top 16 phase if Panionios and Partizan finish equal after the group competition, which is also the case in coorelation with Efes Pilsen. There are many combinations to get into Top 16 but now all we need is win against Panionios. Dusko Vujosevic said that the enrgy of Partizan supporters could be the decisive factor in this match. "You can see how serious Panionios is just by looking at the table of Greek national league, they are third behind Panathinaikos and Olympiakos and we have to beat them with five or more points. Our advantage is that we play such an important game at home and in front of the best fans in Europe." Aleksandar Trifunovic shared the opinion of Vujosevic adding that Panionios should take care of all the players as they play on the wings of the best fans in the World and that this will be the hard job for his team in this match especially in transition, rebounding and defense if they want to win the game. Dimos Dikoudis said that he played in Pionir ten times and he knew the atmosphere well and that they were motivated to reach Top 16. The Club asks fans not to bring in any pirotechnical devices and throw them during the game, otherwise Partizan will pay drastic fines. Let our palms and voices be the lethal weapon again!!!
