Oh LUCK where are you!
The third deja vu this season. Partizan needed a field goal to win the game and finish it gloriously in Madrid, but Real took it all 68:67 (24:9, 12:15, 16:25, 16:18). Real opened the game with more confidence and organization, and won the first quarter and the only quarter in this match. Partizan played a bit better in the naxt period but couldn't come closer then 10 points in the first half. The second half was the complete twist and turn in favour of Partizan. Partizan came to 47:44 by marvelous 3p shooting, Real was good and kept the lead but Partizan guards had some marvelous 3 pointers in the 4th quarter and even gave a point lead to Partizan 54:55. In a very tight finish,m Real played agressively without fouls but Partizan had a chance to win the game but turned it to turnover. "We had to play more courageously and without so much respect for the rival, as in the next two periods when we had much more character and quality and deserved a chance to win the game. We made several turnovers in the finish, and we paid for it by conceived a long distance shot by Tomas, then a three pointer and Lasme's foul and free throws, then a turnover instead of shot in the final seconds, just too much... This is the third game in group phase that we lost by a point. We miss experience in the finish and we can't be happy because of that but we can be happy because no one played better than we did in all three games. We have to keep faith that fortune will come other way hit us for these misfortunes if we make a lot effort to get it as we do."said Dusko Vujosevic, Partizan coach.
