Partizan beat Zadar

Black and whites defeated Zadar in the sixth round of the ABA league, in the empty Hall "Ranko Žeravica" with 78:63 (19:16, 19:18, 22:16, 18:13)

In the sixth round of the ABA league, Partizan NIS defeated Zadar with 78:63, in front of the empty stands of the Sports Hall "Ranko Žeravica". In Steamroller’s first game since coach Saso Filipovski took over the team, Partizan had a slight result advantage from the beginning to the end of the match, which they managed to increase in the fourth quarter and thus managed to win convincingly.

In the first two quarters of the game, Partizan gained the result advantage, but Zadar constantly kept in the game and returned with come back, so the break between the 2nd and 3rd quarter was only plus 4 in favor of Partizan. In the third quarter, Partizan gained a double-digit advantage for the first time, so that Zadar would be only 4 points behind at the beginning of the last section. However, then a new series of Partizan followed and went to the maximum 78:61, three minutes before the end of the match.

At the press conference held after the match, the coach of Partizan NIS, Saso Filipovski, stated:

"Naturally, I am very satisfied and happy that we win a very, very unpleasant team from Zadar, which played with great energy. They have a great width in attack, they force you to the foundations of the game in defense. I have to praise the team, because we trained well and it wasn’t easy to draw energy from the players. I would like to give recognition for the approach. I think this was a good approach of my players. We did our best and we are happy that we break the ice," Filipovski said.
