We are all One Team!
It's all about friendship and basketball! Kids from BC Partizan NIS Academy and kids from Foster Care "Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj" enjoyed their time with Partizan NIS One Team Ambassador, Vanja Marinkovic last night at "Stark Arena" in Belgrade.
Without previous announcement, kids were totally surprised when they saw Vanja at their sixth OT session. After introduction speech, Partizan vice-captain invited all kids to talk about friendships they made throught One Team program and to name their best friend in the gym.
The youngest member of BC Partizan Academy, a six years old Maxim, named 12 years old Kristijan from Foster Care "Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj" as somebody who is his closest friend at the moment. Kristijan returned to Maksim in the same way and they promised eichother that they will continue their bond after One Team program will be over.
During the five on five play, Vanja Marinkovic was very inspired, as he was showing the tricks to the kids and joking all the time. At one point, Vanja decided to go on fast break, dunk, and earn applause from all 27 kids in the gym.
At the end, all 27 kids had shootout contest, with the main reward - Spalding ball from the Turkish Airlines Final Four, played in Belgrade last May. However, this competition brought another surprise, as the winner, Luka from BC Partizan Academy, decided to give his ball to his friend Andelina, from the Foster Care.
"I was very lucky to win this ball, but i would like to share it with Andelina, as i saw how much she liked those balls since our first training", Luka said.
Multi-ethnical BC Partizan NIS One Team program will be continued in following weeks.
