Details separated Partizan from a turnaround

In the third round of the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 phase, the black and whites lost at home from Monaco, with the score 68:72 (13:21, 13:19, 12:14, 30:18).

The black and whites were a step away from a big turnaround at home, in the third round of the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16  phase. The guests from Monaco made a huge advantage during the first 30 minutes of the game, but the black and whites stared playing fiercely in the last quarter, and they were a step away from a big turnaround in a game in which they were down by as much as 20 points.

However, after coming to -5, the black and whites didn't use an offense, after which the guests scored a 3-pointer, and returned to an unreachable +8. Until the end of the game, Partizan NIS' players managed to halve the deficit, so the guest team won with the score 68:72.

At the press conference after the game, Partizan NIS' coach, Andrea Trinchieri, said:

"Congrats to Monaco. They played an extremely solid game. The truth is they put us on a school bus and drove around Belgrade for 40 minutes. They played smartly, we didn't, bu we had a great, great comeback, and just a couple of details didn't give us the chance to play to win the game", said Trinchieri and added:

"The game is never lost until it's lost, otherwise there wouldn't be sport. You have to play until the last second. In the last quarter we sped things up and realized how to play against them. Before that, we missed open shots, the court became small, and after that it was hard to make a turnaround", concluded the black and whites' coach.
