The black and whites tomorrow against Monaco
Bandja Sy: "Playing against my brother is a special feeling. Those are always very good games."
On Tuesday, January 15, the black and whites welcome Monaco in the third round of the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 phase. In the first two rounds, both teams have a score of one win and one loss, but the black and whites are at the head of the group because of better score difference.
The game starts at 7 PM, and before the game against the French team, the black and whites' forward, Bandja Sy, said:
"It will be very hard playing against Monaco. They have a lot of experienced players on the team, and I had to chance to play with some of them, and I know how dangerous they can be. They are talented, athletically very good, but we will prepare well for the challenge ahead of us. We will focus on ourselves and on what we can do best in order to win", said Sy, who will be playing against his brother on Tuesday.
"Playing against my brother is always special for me. Until now, I have played against him 12 times, but this is the first time we meet since I am in Partizan. I can definitely say that it's an amazing feeling playing against family, and those games are always very, very good", Sy pointed out.
Partizan NIS' point guard, Marcus Paige, also points out that tomorrow's game will be difficult:
"Tomorrow's game is very important for us, and all of us are very excited. We played really well in our last EuroCup game at home, and we want to continue like that, and continue our winning streak at home. By doing that, we want to stay at the head of the group and increase our chances of going to the quarter-finals. It will be hard, they are a great team, but if we play a good game, strongly and as a team, I think we stand a chance of winning", said Paige.
Regarding tomorrow's game, Partizan NIS' coach, Andrea Trinchieri, said:
"We have another great game in the Top 16 phase of the EuroCup before our amazing fans. Monaco are a very solid team with an amazing coach. This game is a great chance for us to enjoy, and to try and increase the level of our play", said Trinchieri.
