"The game against ALBA is a chance to play at a high level"
On Wednesday, January 9, at 8 PM, the black and whites welcome the team from Berlin in Aleksandar Nikolić Hall.
On Wednesday, Partizan NIS' players continue competing in the 7DAYS EuroCup. In the second round of the Top 16 phase, ALBA from Berlin, which defeated Monaco in the first round, are coming to Begrade. The game starts at 8 PM, and the entrances to Aleksandar Nikolić Hall will be opened 90 minutes before the game starts.
At today's training, the black and whites' coach, Andrea Trinchieri, said to the gathered media:
"ALBA is one of the best sports organizations in Europe. They have a coach who has won everything, who has immense experience. I love games like these, that's always a chance for the team to play at a high level. They are experienced, they play very good basketball, a real basketball school. They may be the best team in Europe when it comes to moving without the ball. We will need enormous focus, and I already know that we will receive some points, because they are able to do it with teams more experienced than Partizan. This is definitely a big challenge for us, we want to play a hard game. After Saturday, we are the 'survivors', we won a game we should have lost. We caught up with a 7-point deficit in one minute and 40 seconds, and that's a big boost that will help the team feel better and train better", Trinchieri pointed out.
Partizan NIS' vice-captain, Vanja Marinković, will celebrate his 22nd birthday at tomorrow's game. Before the game with ALBA, Vanja said:
"We know they play atypically, more like Spanish teams, and it's necessary to respond to that play with running well. Also, It's very important that we don't have drops during the game. We had one day's break after Mornar, and we've been preparing since yesterday for this important game and I believe that we will be ready when it comes", said Marinković.
