Triumph in Laktaši

In the tenth round of the ABA League, the black and whites defeated Igokea in Laktaši, with the score 84:97 (24:30, 20:17, 21:28, 19:22).

An important triumph for Partizan NIS in Laktaši! After the break because of the FIBA qualifications for the World Championship, the black and whites defeated Igokea in Republika Srpska, with the score 84:97. Carried by the amazing support from their fans, from the moment they came to Laktaši, and in the hall itself, Partizan NIS' players took control of the game from the beginning they were in the lead with 0:10 and 5:17, but the home players managed to find an answer and come to a one-point deficit only. Nevertheless, the black and whites had the lead of 24:30 after the first quarter. The second quarter brought +14 for Partizan, as well as a new comeback from Igokea, that did the same thing for the third time during the game, but the Steamroller players managed to find new ways to increase their advantage and, ultimately, come to a deserved triumph.

During the press conference after the game, the black and whites' coach, Andrea Trinchieri said:

"Two things were key. A very tough game. Igokea is a tough opponent, they widen the court, a lot of scorers together on the court, and another player Williams, who gives great depth in offense. It was a very tough game to prepare and play, but two things were key: 39 rebounds, and Vanja Marinković's defense", pointed out Partizan NIS' coach.

The black and whites are coming back to Belgrade tonight, and on Monday they are going to France, where they will play against ASVEL on Tuesday, December 11.
