Black and whites are ending its 2017/18 Euro campaign this December

Partizan NIS was defeated in a home game against Retabet Bilbao Basket with 67:83

Black and whites will end its Euro campaign for this season at the end of December. In tonights game against Bilbao, Partizan started game well, but Bilbao overtook the lead before the end of the first period. In second quarter, guest team increased its lead, but Partizan didn't give up as black and whites bounced back in third period with 10:0 run when they took the lead.

However, Bilbao has its answer ready, and they turned things back once again. After that, they only enlarged its lead in fourth period.

Interim head coach of Partizan NIS, Aleksandar Matovic, stated after the game:

"We tried to do prepare for this match in a specific way, according to the circumstances that happened yesterday. We tried to implement the game plan, which was already done with the coach Miroslav Nikolić. During the week we had problems with injuries, so the roster was shortened to 11 players, some of which were half-injured, so they had a slightly lower index tonight. As for the game, we tried to play a little more aggressive. The first three quarters we managed to do it, but then afer our 10:0 run they bounced back instantly. In the fourth quarter we received 30 points... Perhaps the result difference is too big in comparison to how much energy we invested, but on the other hand we did not play smart in both offense and defense, so the defeat was inevitable", Matovic said.

Shooting guard Patrick Miller stated after the game:

"Tonight was a tough game for us, because we didn't play the way we wanted to play. We have to get ready for the new coach. We wanted to win these last few games in Eurocup and try to advance, but unfortunately we just have to focus on the last two games now. We are in a bad losing streak, so we just have to practice and take one day at the time", Miller underlined.
