Miroslav Nikolic is back in Partizan
After 19 years, coach Nikolic is back. He signed three years deal today.
Miroslav Nikolić is a new-old head coach of BC Partizan! Well known expert signed today a three years contract with black and whites, the club where he won the national championship of FR Yugoslavia in 1997. Before coming back to Partizan, coach Nikolic worked at BC Dynamic, Buducnost Podgorica where he won two championshipd of FR Yugoslavia, Red Star, Hemofarm, Radnicki, Vojvodina, BFC, Avtodor and Apolon.
In his career, nikolic was integral part of national team sucesses in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2014 and 2016. working along with coaches Zeljko Obradovic and Sasha Djordjevic.
After signing a contract, Nikolic stated:
"Only today, we signed a contract. I hope we will have a good cooperation and good atmosphere around Partizan. My idea is to return to the model of behaviour from 1996 and 1997 when we used to sign 'small' contracts which are realistic in our situation. I hope we will sign few young players who will sign muly-years contracts and that we will have the most talented team in the country like it was case in the past", Nikolic said and added:
"We wish to develope 2-3 national team players in a 2 years from now. That concept requires a patience from the both club and the fans", Nikolic underlined.
Nikola Markovic will be first assistant of coach Nikolic, while Aleksandar Matovic and fitness coach Adam Petrovic will be new additions to the coaching staff. Preparations for the new season will start in August 7th.
